During this MCO to CMCO , more people are work from home now , many of them started to feel the heat and glare in their house . Even the aircond is on they couldn’t feel the coldness.
This is because too much of heat is coming from the windows. Do you know that our window glass can absorb and conduct the heat from outside 40% more than a brick wall. Imagine if your living area is surrounding with glazing and less brick wall , for sure your house will be more hotter.
Solution for the above problem is to put a layer of tint over the window. The house tinted not even can block the heat from the sun it also can block the glare and ultra violet that passing through your window into your house . Provided a good ventilation air system together the high performance window tint can be double effective.
Some people will think that after they tinted the house , they can just stop on their air conditional and because many tinted seller will just tell them it can cut the heat of 80%. So user will think if outside temperature is 38°c and the tint can cut 80% heat then it become 7.6°c now (which is don’t make sense , even your aircond turning 16°c it doesn’t meant it can able to make your whole room become 16°c).
So the right way to interpreted is when we choosing the window tinted the most important is to look at the Visible Light Transmission %, Infra Red % and TOTAL SOLAR ENERGY REJECTION%. All this is only the component determine the performance of the window tint
itself. But it can’t tell the exact heat it can reduce because it subjected to the glass glazing substance and many circumstances.
The higher IR and TSER represent the higher performance of the particular window tint. Even up to date , there is not accurate measurement that can shows how many % a window tint can block the heat from coming. This is because of glass glazing material is too easy to absorb, radiated and conduct the heat . Hence,we’re using the good quality window tinted to slower and reducing the absorption and conducting the heat into our house.
As a conclusion we need to understand the performance of the tint instead just look at the datafigure itself. And don’t be confuse by the figure because it doesn’t represent the total heat it can reject . I hope my article can have a clear explanation on the window tint performance
